Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”

Devotional

God did not design Christians to live isolated lives. He places believers in a spiritual family so we can comfort, encourage, strengthen, and edify one another. There are moments when the storms of life are heavy, and we need brothers and sisters in Christ to remind us of truth.

It is dangerous to believe we do not need the church. We need preaching, teaching, fellowship, prayer, accountability, and encouragement. We need people who will stand with us when Satan attacks and point us back to Jesus when our hearts grow weary.

Christian fellowship is not just social—it is spiritual. God uses His people to help carry burdens, speak truth, and show love. When one believer is weak, another can help strengthen them. When one is discouraged, another can comfort them.

Reflection

  • Am I connected to the body of Christ, or am I trying to walk alone?
  • Who encourages me spiritually?
  • Who can I encourage today?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the church and for Christian brothers and sisters. Help me not to isolate myself. Teach me to receive encouragement and to give encouragement. Use me to comfort and edify someone today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Action

Reach out to one person today with encouragement. Send a message, make a call, pray with them, or tell them you are thankful for them.
