Scripture Reading: Titus 2:7-8 (KJV)

“In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,”

“Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.”

Devotional

It is one thing to say, “I am a Christian.” It is another thing to live like one. Paul told Titus to be a pattern of good works. That means our lives should point people toward Christ—not just our words, but our conduct, attitude, speech, priorities, and choices.

The sermon reminder was simple: if you talk the talk, you must walk the walk. Our homes, families, churches, workplaces, and communities need to see Christianity lived out. This does not mean we are perfect. It means we are surrendered. It means when we fail, we repent. When we speak, we seek to speak truth. When trials come, we run to Christ.

A Christian life should not be a Sunday-only life. Following Jesus is not a part-time occupation. It is a daily walk.

Reflection

  • Does my lifestyle match my profession of faith?
  • Are there areas where I say one thing but live another?
  • What would those closest to me say my life points them toward?

Prayer

Lord, help me not only claim the name of Christ but live for Christ. Let my words, actions, and attitudes honor You. Make me a faithful example of good works and sound speech. Help me walk in obedience today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Action

Choose one area of your life—speech, attitude, service, family, work, or private habits—and ask God to help you bring it into obedience today.
