Scripture Reading: Acts 2:1 (KJV):
"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place."
Devotional:
Unity was the catalyst for the Holy Spirit's mighty arrival at Pentecost. When the believers were together in one accord, the Spirit moved powerfully among them. Today, disunity can hinder the Spirit's work. We must strive for unity and peace in our congregations to facilitate God's movement among us.
Reflection:
Assess how you contribute to the unity or disunity in your church. Are there relationships you need to mend or attitudes to change to better align with the collective body of Christ?
Prayer:
Lord, grant us unity in our church and our families. Help us to work through disagreements with love and grace. Unite us in spirit and purpose so that we may be effective vessels for Your work. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
Identify someone you have tensions with in your church. Reach out to reconcile and have an open, honest conversation seeking peace and unity.
