Scripture Reading: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

Devotional

God shapes His people through His Word. The Bible teaches us what is true. It reproves us when we are wrong. It corrects us when we stray. It instructs us in righteousness so that we may be useful vessels for His work.

Many Christians want God’s blessings but avoid God’s shaping. We want comfort, but not correction. We want heaven, but not holiness. Yet the Potter uses His Word to form Christlike character in us.

When we neglect Scripture, we dry out spiritually. Our hearts can become hard, brittle, and resistant. But when we return to the Word, God refreshes us. He softens us. He brings conviction, comfort, wisdom, and direction.

The living Word keeps the clay tender in the Potter’s hands.

Reflection

Am I allowing God’s Word to correct and shape me daily?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your Word. Forgive me for neglecting it or only reading it when convenient. Use Scripture to search my heart, correct my ways, and strengthen my faith. Keep me soft and moldable before You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
