Scripture Reading – Colossians 4:12 (KJV)
“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

Devotional
Paul commended Epaphras because he “laboured fervently” in prayer so that the believers would “stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” That little phrase—all the will of God—is huge.

Many of us are content with some of God’s will. We want His will for heaven, but not for our habits. We want His blessing on our plans, but we don’t really want His plans to replace ours. Paul is praying for something deeper: that believers would be complete—fully mature and fully surrendered—in every part of God’s will.

God’s will is not a tiny slice of our week on Sunday morning. It touches your home life, work life, social life, financial life, relationships, and private thought life. You are not the owner of your life—God is. You are the manager. A manager doesn’t run the company by his own rules; he follows the owner’s directions.

To be “complete in all the will of God” means you stop dividing life into “God’s part” and “my part.” Instead, you begin each day as a manager saying, “Lord, this life, this day, this time, this money, these relationships—they’re Yours. Show me what to do with what You own.”

Reflection

  • Where in your life have you tried to keep control instead of submitting to all the will of God—home, work, relationships, money, free time?
  • If someone watched your life for a week, would they say you are living on purpose for God, or just drifting?

Prayer
“Lord, You are the owner of my life, and I am only the manager. Forgive me for acting as if I belong to myself. Teach me what it means to be ‘complete in all the will of God.’ Show me any area I’m holding back from You, and give me the courage to surrender it. I want Your whole will, not just the parts that are easy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Action
Take a sheet of paper and make two columns. At the top of the left write: “Areas I’m managing my way.” On the right: “Areas I’m surrendering to God.” Honestly list items in each. Then pray over the left column and verbally surrender each item to God.
