Scripture Reading: 1 Timothy 2:3–4 (KJV)

“For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”

Matthew 5:16
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Devotional

At the heart of God’s desire for our nation is not just better laws or improved morals, but salvation. God “will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” The greatest need in America is not political reform; it is spiritual rebirth.

The sermon emphasized that only Jesus can truly “make America great” and that begins one soul at a time. While the world loudly promotes its agendas, many Christians remain quiet about the only message that truly saves. We may amen sermons and shake our heads at the news, but outside the church walls we often stay silent.

God’s Word calls us to shine: to live and speak in such a way that the reality of Christ in us cannot be hidden. As the little girl in the story said, if God is so big and He lives in us, He ought to show through us.

Sharing Christ is not about being obnoxious or argumentative. It’s about loving people enough to tell them the truth: there is a Savior who died for sinners, who grants total freedom from sin and hell, and offers eternal life to all who will repent and believe.

Reflection

  • When is the last time you clearly shared the gospel with someone?
  • What fears keep you from speaking about Jesus (rejection, awkwardness, not knowing what to say)?
  • Who in your life (family, friend, coworker, neighbor) most needs to hear about Christ?

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
You are the only hope for my life and for my nation. Forgive me for being silent when I should speak. Fill me with love and boldness to share Your gospel. Help me see people not as political opponents or problems, but as souls who need a Savior. Open doors for gospel conversations, and give me the words to speak the truth with grace. Let my light shine so that others may see and glorify You. In Your precious name, Amen.

Action

Identify one person you know who is not saved.

  • Pray for them by name today.
  • Then, take one step toward a gospel conversation this week: send a message, invite them to church, ask how you can pray for them, or gently share your testimony.
