Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 37:17 (KJV)
"Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon."
Devotional:
King Zedekiah asked Jeremiah, "Is there any word from the Lord?" Though hoping for good news, Jeremiah delivered a truth that was hard to accept. Today, we face a similar challenge. God's Word is available, yet many of us neglect its wisdom, choosing to seek comfort instead of truth.
Reflection:
Are there areas in your life where you're avoiding God's Word because you fear it might challenge or convict you? How can you create space to genuinely seek the Lord's guidance?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, open my heart to your Word. Help me to seek Your truth, even when it challenges me. Let me be receptive to Your guidance and wisdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
Spend 15 minutes today reading a chapter in the book of Jeremiah. Meditate on how God's Word was applicable then and remains relevant now.
