“One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.
He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
And he brought him to Jesus.”
Andrew is not always remembered as prominently as Peter, James, or John. But Andrew did something eternally significant: he brought people to Jesus.
First, he brought his brother Peter. Later, he brought the lad with the loaves and fishes. Andrew may not have preached the great sermon at Pentecost, but he brought Peter—the man God used mightily that day.
Never underestimate the power of bringing someone to Jesus.
You may feel ordinary. You may not have a platform, a title, or great recognition. But God uses faithful people who simply do what they can. A conversation, an invitation, a testimony, or a prayer may be the small thing God uses to change someone’s life forever.
Who is one person in your life who needs to be brought closer to Jesus?
Lord, give me the heart of Andrew. Help me not to seek attention, but to faithfully point others to Christ. Use my words and my life to bring someone to You. Amen.
Pray for one specific person today. Then look for an opportunity this week to invite them to church, share your testimony, or encourage them in Christ.
