Scripture Reading: Luke 22:60-62 KJV

“And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord…
And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.”

Devotional

God used something as small and ordinary as a rooster’s crow to bring Peter to repentance.

Peter had denied the Lord three times. But when the rooster crowed, he remembered the words of Jesus. That small sound pierced his heart. Peter went out and wept bitterly.

Sometimes God uses small things to get our attention: a sermon, a song, a verse, a word from a friend, a moment of silence, or a memory. The question is whether we will listen.

Peter’s failure was not the end of his story. His tears of repentance became part of his restoration. Jesus was not finished with Peter, and He is not finished with you.

If God is using something small to call you back, do not ignore Him.

Reflection

Is there an area of your life where God has been quietly calling you to repent, return, or obey?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for loving me enough to get my attention. Help me to hear Your voice, even in the small reminders. Lead me to repentance, restoration, and renewed faithfulness. Amen.

Action

Spend a few quiet minutes before God today. Ask Him, “Lord, what are You trying to show me?” Then respond honestly and obediently.
