Scripture Reading: Joshua 24:15 (KJV):
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Devotional:
In today's world, distractions abound, pulling us in various directions. Just like the Israelites faced choices between serving God or other gods, we too must consciously decide to follow God daily. Elijah challenged the Israelites to choose their God clearly and decisively. Our commitment to God reflects not just in words but in our life's actions and attitudes.
Reflection:
Consider the distractions in your life that draw you away from truly serving God. What commitments or idols are taking precedence over your relationship with Him?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to recognize the idols in my life that compete for Your rightful place. As for me and my house, may we faithfully serve You. Guide my decisions, empower me to choose You daily, and let Your fire burn brightly in my heart. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Action:
