Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12:1-2
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Devotional:
Just as blinders keep mules focused, we too need spiritual focus to run our race. Fixing our eyes on Jesus helps us to lay aside distractions and press on with perseverance.

Reflection:
Are there weights or sins you need to lay aside to run with endurance? Meditate on how focusing on Jesus can help you align your path with God’s purposes.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to fix my eyes on You. Keep me focused, and give me strength to run the race with endurance and faithfulness. Amen.

Action:
Identify one distraction to remove from your life this week. Replace it with a practice that keeps your focus on Christ.
