Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 2:13
"For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water."

Devotional:
In Jeremiah, God speaks of His people forsaking the living water for broken cisterns. Our world offers many “fish ponds” that promise satisfaction but leave us empty. True fulfillment comes only from Jesus Christ, the eternal source of living water.

Reflection:
Identify any "fish ponds" in your life. Are there areas where you've settled for less than God's best? Consider how these choices might be affecting your spiritual health.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I confess that I have sometimes turned to the stagnant water of this world. Help me to forsake what does not satisfy and to drink deeply from the living water that is Jesus Christ. Amen.

Action:
Make a list of worldly distractions that draw you away from God. Pray over each one, asking God to help you turn away from these and to draw closer to Him.
