2 Timothy 2:20-21
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.”
Devotional
God does not shape us merely so we can look better. He shapes us so we can be used for His glory.
A vessel has a purpose. It is made to hold something, carry something, and pour something out. As Christians, we are vessels meant to carry the light, love, truth, and gospel of Jesus Christ into the world.
But if a vessel is cracked by sin, filled with pride, or hardened by rebellion, its usefulness is hindered. That is why surrender matters. Holiness matters. Obedience matters.
God desires to make us vessels unto honour—clean, sanctified, and ready for the Master’s use. The question is not whether God is able to use us. The question is whether we are willing to yield to Him.
The Potter knows what He is making. Let Him mold you. Let Him make you. Let Him use you.
Reflection
Am I available for God to use me however He chooses?
Prayer
Lord, make me a vessel unto honour. Cleanse me from anything that dishonours You. Fill me with Your Spirit, shape me by Your Word, and use me to point others to Jesus. I surrender my life to Your hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Look for one opportunity today to be used by God—encourage someone, share Scripture, pray with someone, serve quietly, or speak of Christ’s goodness.
